One of the most versatile comedians in the region is retiring one of his popular shows despite calls from his fans to keep it running.
The comedian with the big heart and huge talent, Seaton Delaval’s Steffen Peddie has decided to call time on his “99 Problems and chips ain’t one of them” show to concentrate on developing a new agony aunt themed show.
“99 Problems” will have its final outing on Saturday 19th May at The Exchange in North Shields and Steffen is expecting to have to work twice as hard as usual to satisfy his eager audience.
“The show is totally improvised and the audience actually set questions for me to answer. Each show is therefore very different and turns into a riotous laugh for everyone. I never know what to expect but this time with it being the last ever show many of my fans have told me that they are going to ask me to comment on some even more bizzare and unusual problems that they may or may not have. I’ll have to be at my best to survive the night.”
Steffen’s talent doesn’t just extend to his own unique brand of stand up comedy. He’s acted in hit TV sitcom Hebburn, hosted Nightowls on Metro FM and he’s also currently presenting shows on BBC Newcastle. Add to this a career as a professional wrestler and a singer with the Geordie Ratpack and there’s a wealth of experience that will help Steffen answer any problem in the last of his “99 Problems” show.
The show hosted by Tyneidols.com is at The Exchange North Shields on Saturday 19th May. Tickets £15 including a Geordie Supper or £10 ticket only from Julie Clay on 0191 253 1618 or email julie@tyneidols.com
