From Bedlington to the Bahamas, talented musician Guy Stoker has been entertaining passengers on cruise liners all over the world and now he’s returning to his native north east to perform a special concert featuring the music of his musical hero.
Guy has been entertaining audiences around the world for the last 25 years, and has visited 17 countries this year alone. Barely a single show has gone by without him being likened to his idol and inspiration Sir Elton John.
During his shows people have commented that they couldn’t believe they weren’t actually listening to Elton John, with a great number of concerts ending in standing ovations, shouts for more, and requests for photos and autographs. Now, Guy is bringing his Elton Guy show to the Cluny 2 in October.
“I’m delighted to be performing The Elton Guy Show on my home patch. It’s a whistle stop tour through 1969 to 2013, playing all the hits and I’m thrilled to be joined onstage by some of the best musicians in the North East.”
Guy will be joined onstage by Matthew Wilkinson on Keyboards
Adam Fox on Guitars, Deon Krishnan on Bass, Lloyd Howell on Drums
and Stevie Bongo on Percussion.
North East comedian Steve Walls was impressed with the show.
“I watched the Elton Guy Show whilst booked as a comedian on a Cruise. The work that has gone into this show is immense. From the look, to the mannerisms and the voice, it is clear that Guy has done his homework. Added to that the fact that the piano playing is live, this is more than a tribute……if you are a fan of Elton, you will love this show.”
Elton Guy will play The Cluny 2 on Wed 25 Oct
