A print solutions company based in Chester-le-Street has pledged its support to one of the regions most loved charities by teaming up as their dedicated print partner for an iconic “Geordie” show celebrating its 20th anniversary.
PBL Print will be taking care of all The Sunday for Sammy Trust print needs including high quality programmes and other essentials which will help the charity with valuable recognition and brand awareness.
Sunday for Sammy, unofficially known as the Geordie Command Performance, will delight packed audiences at two shows at the Newcastle Utilita Arena on Sunday 23rd February. The show is a celebration of North Eastern culture and many of the region’s most popular and successful performers have taken part in the extravaganza of comedy and music staged to raise funds to support the next generation of local performers with training, expenses and equipment.
Although the cast list is never revealed beforehand to ensure plenty of surprises for the audience, it’s no secret that some of the lads from Auf Wiedersehen Pet will be performing a specially written sketch for the show. As a special thank you to PBL Print, Wendy McDonald from the firm was invited to meet some of the cast during rehearsals.
Wendy said: “What a fantastic experience meeting actors Tim Healy, Kevin Whately, Christopher Fairbank, Jimmy Nail and Phillippa Wilson. There was another star there too who has to remain under wraps until the show.
“PBL Print are delighted to help with Sunday for Sammy by producing all of their printed materials for this well loved show. They do a fantastic job helping people to get a start in the entertainment world and it’s great to be associated with helping shape someone’s future aspirations.”
Like Sunday for Sammy, PBL Print is one of the region’s success stories. Formed nearly 30 years ago, the business has been built on providing quality, cost-effective solutions to the Public and Private Sector. The firm are at the forefront of technology and use state of the art printing equipment together with an in house graphic design team. They also provide other services including lamination, die-cutting and perfect binding equipment,
Sunday for Sammy chairman Tim Healy was delighted to welcome PBL Print onboard.
“Thanks to PBL Print we can use funds allocated to printing costs to help young entertainers progress their chosen career in the world of music, drama, dance and entertainment. When someone buys one of our DVDs or attends the Sunday for Sammy shows, their money goes towards helping the up and coming stars of tomorrow. We are delighted with the help we are receiving from PBL Print as this will make such a difference to the stars of tomorrow. We are looking forward to a long and happy partnership.”
