A North East Digital Agency has taken on three new staff members after trebling its turnover in 2011 on the back of a number of new client wins.
Boxmodel Digital Media, who work with the likes of The Percy Hedley Foundation and the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, has its head office in the Gateshead International Business Centre and is now looking to London, Manchester and Edinburgh to aid its ambitious expansion plans.
Started only two years ago by David Calvert (34) and Alan Easton (37), Boxmodel Digital Media has gone from strength to strength and now employs eight staff, thanks to its strong strategic partnerships, high profile clientele and business mentoring from Ross Golightly at Sphera Consulting.
“It’s been a phenomenal couple of years for us. Despite the global economic downturn the digital world continues to grow and we’ve been well placed to make the most of it,” said MD David.
“By forming partnerships with marketing, branding and traditional advertising agencies, which do not have in-house technical expertise, we have managed to secure some great project work moving forward into 2012 and our business mentor, Ross Golightly has been a massive help to us, taking a helicopter view of our business and helping us plan a strategy for growth.”
“We estimate that our turnover has increased by 350% on the previous year and has trebled year on year since we started up in June 2009. We are now looking at having offices in London, Manchester and Edinburgh as well,” said Technical Director, Alan. “One of the attractions for our clients is that we consistently over-deliver. We offer southern agency creativity, tempered with northern agency project costs and this seems to be a winning combination for us.”
