Recently, the famous Pink Star diamond sold for $71.2 million at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, however, another pink / diamond relationship was sealed on Tyneside as one of the region’s fastest growing IT businesses gave flawless service and perfect clarity to one of Europe’s rising entrepreneurial stars.

Diamond Group based on Gateshead’s Team Valley have completed a major upgrade of telecoms, IT and office equipment for Newcastle based multi-million-pound fashion business, Pink Boutique. The work typifies Diamond Group’s work ethos to provide top quality service to the best businesses in the region which ultimately reflects the quality of their work and that of their clients.

Pink Boutique was founded by Alice Hall who started the online fashion business in 2012 with a £90 investment and now achieves annual sales of around £9million.The company posts 2,000 garments a day from their 60,000-square foot warehouse and has had an annual sales growth of 141% over the last three years. Recently Forbes Magazine recognised the business talents of Pink Boutique’s entrepreneur owner by featuring her in the “30 Under 30 Europe Class of 2017” awards.

MD of Diamond Group John Burns was delighted to work so closely with Pink Boutique.

“I first met Alice and Julie from Pink Boutique at an Entrepreneurs Forum meeting and was impressed at the way that they had grown the business from nothing in such a short time. We discussed their IT systems and it was clear that they could obtain even more success with upgraded systems.”

Diamond Group were commissioned to upgrade internal server systems, install a new state of the art contact centre, customer care lines and provide superfast broadband throughout their buildings. In  addition, Diamond Group supplied multi-function printer copiers to provide an effective printing solution while saving the customer money, time and effort.

“What we did was consolidate all of Pink Boutique’s IT and telecom systems so that everything integrated together. We carried out a detailed audit and looked at the technology available and then made recommendations based on what would help to make Pink Boutique even more efficient. In essence, we provided a one stop shop for all of their IT and Telecom’s needs,” said John.

“I was very impressed by the way that my team worked with the client to ensure 100% satisfaction. It’s a great testimony for Diamond Group to have a happy customer of the caliber of Pink Boutique who could have engaged any IT company in the country. The fact that they chose us is something we are justly proud of and I believe that’s because of our expertise in a number of disciplines including IT, telecoms, asset finance and the provision of copiers.”

Financial Director of Pink Boutique, Julie Blackie was pleased to endorse Diamond Group’s work.

“We began working with Diamond Group to upgrade our internal server systems, make them super safe and provide a service agreement.  We went on to get them to renew all of our phones and install superfast broadband throughout our existing building and in our new premises too.  I feel like we’re in safe hands and they’ve provided a total solution for us.  They are always available to pop in and help and they keep us informed of everything that is going on including any new upgrades we need.  Previously, we used our own IT department but they were always very busy on other projects so we’ve found it to be much simpler and more efficient to pass this work to Diamond Group.

“Diamond Group are very customer focused and know their business inside out. They really are a gem to work with and have given IT clarity to our business.”

Diamond Group now employ 20 staff, have an annual turnover of almost £2m and are growing year on year around 20%. They celebrate 25 years in business this year.
