Northumberland’s newest community radio station is delving into the paranormal with the addition of two new larger than life presenters.
Extreme ghost hunter, Stephen Lambert from Blyth and Psychic Biker, Paul Green from Whittingham near Alnwick has joined the growing list of experienced presenters to host their own show on Radio Northumberland.
The pair will combine music with paranormal stories to create a unique radio experience that already has attracted interviews with celebrity ghost hunters Jason Karl and Gail Porter. Future shows will include highlights from actual ghost hunts and interviews with prominent people in the world of the paranormal.
“This is a great platform for us both” said Stephen. ”Being a local lad from Blyth, it’s great to get involved at the start of this radio station. Already we have a good following on line and we aim to grow with the station.”
Distinctive looking Paul agreed. “The beauty of internet radio is that you can be heard anywhere in the world and broadcast from anywhere too. Being able to broadcast live from the tiny village of Whittingham to the world is just amazing.”
Other presenters working with Radio Northumberland include ex Fortunes drummer Paul Hooper, New Wave host Keith Newman and Geordie Hour presenter Gary Hogg.
Radio Northumberland is currently providing an internet based service broadcasting music, community information and talk based programming. As the station grows, an application will be made to Ofcom for a temporary RSL licence which will enable it to broadcast on an FM radio frequency to the people of Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth, Cramlington and Morpeth.
The station is broadcasting a variety of music styles and genres with shows by experienced presenters and interviewers as well as running shows presented by schools, scout groups and other community organisations.
