It’s glad tidings on the horizon for one or two lucky applicants as Blyth Town Council launches a search for the ideal candidates for an unusual festive job.
Santa Claus is coming to town to take part in a number of festive events but he needs a couple of happy helpers to ensure that all of the good girls and boys of Blyth enjoy themselves.
Mel Jackson, Events Manager for Blyth Town Council is looking for the likes of a Jack Frost, Frosty the Snowman or a hard-working Elf to join the events team for the Christmas lights switch on weekend of November 16 and 17 and for other events planned every Saturday in December leading up to Christmas Day.
“This is a great opportunity for the right person to have some fun leading up to Christmas and to do a worthwhile job. They should be aged over 18, be good with the public and own their own festive costume. They also need a full DBS disclosure certificate and most importantly they need to believe in the magic of Christmas.
“Naughty Boys and Girls Need Not Apply, ”said Mel.
