If you dare to go to Tynemouth Golf Course on Friday 13th May make sure you don’t go in the dark otherwise you’ll be in for a spooky surprise.
North Shields’ Meadow Well Estate’s community development charity, The Cedarwood Trust encourages people to make a real difference to their lives and to the tight knit community in which they live. Now, in order to raise much-needed funds, the charity is holding its first ever Golf Day with a theme of Zombies and it’s asking the Tyneside business community to rise up and help them.
As well as a prize for the best dressed Zombie, the Trust will be giving out prizes for the winning golfers, a £20,000 Volvo is up for grabs for a hole in one at hole 11, there are also spot prizes and the best dressed Zombie also gets an award.
The event takes place on the afternoon of Friday 13th May with entry fees being £200 for a team of four which includes refreshments and a buffet meal to finish.
CEO of the Trust Phil McGrath is looking forward to the event. “It’s a great excuse to come along and support the work we are doing on the estate whether you dress up as a Zombie or not. I’m sure it’ll be a real Thriller.”
