Rachael’s New Brand is a Head Over Heels Succ Sex

May 7, 2018

A Wallsend based online specialist fashion business has its customers falling head over heels for their new brand of unique shoes and accessories.

Doctor Shoelittle supply footwear and accessories mainly for the Pole Fitness sector but bizarrely in a story reminiscent to the hit movie and Broadway show, “Kinky Boots”, also to drag queens and Burlesque artists too.

Founder of the company, Rachael Vasey from Wallsend had the inspiration to supply the specialist shoes when she was partying at a nightclub in Newcastle for her Hen Night. She found herself in the company of five drag queens, one of which complained that getting bright red size 13 thigh length boots was nearly impossible. Rachael took up the challenge and the business was born.

Since 2014, Doctor Shoelittle has grown exponentially and Racheal is now also supplying shoes for proms and beauty pagents. Her online business has customers right across the globe and her website attracts thousands of hits every week.

Some of the country’s top Pole Fitness experts use Rachael’s products including the Cherry Dance Academy of Burlesque and Pole Fitness in Newcastle’s Bigg Market. Pole Fitness is one of the quickest ways to achieve fitness, strength and muscle definition and well fitting high heels are a vital tool for Pole Fitness workouts as Rachael explains:

“A good pair of high heels will make the legs look fabulous thanks to their design and the force of the weight stretching them downwards. The small base of the heel is ideal for pivoting and also helps absorb vibrations. But at the end of the day, a good pair of quality, well fitting heels will increase self confidence and make the wearer look fantastic.”

Indeed, Cherry Dance Academy’s; Toxic Cherry has been sponsored by Doctor Shoelittle to showcase their shoes and other accessories. Rachael has also found other industry related sponsorship opportunities connected to her footwear which have also helped to grow the business and give a ‘foot up” to local up and coming models and artistes.

These include leading alternative model and actress, Kookie Katana, Beauty Pagent Queen Lauren Scobie and drag artiste Alexander Robinson. Rachael is also raising funds for the Kanvas Dance Academy in Wallsend where she is organising a talent show for children and adults. The event on June 16th at Wallsend’s Miners Bar is expected to showcase dance, music and gymnastics.

The success of Doctor Shoelittle has now led to Rachel launching her own brand of clothing, shoes and accessories. She has named the brand DSL.

Initially, the DSL brand includes limited edition t- shirts, individually customised airbrushed shoes by Newcastle designer Peter Von Brush, hoodies and glasses.

“I must have one of the best jobs in the North East,” said Rachael. “I get to help so many people by supplying top quality footwear that they find hard to get elsewhere. We’ve grown because we go the extra mile for our customers, even down to hand delivering rush items so that they can be used in a show. What started out as a favour to a guy in a nightclub has transformed my life and hopefully other people’s too.”
