Record Breaking £76,104 raised for RVI Neonatal Unit at Tiny Lives Charity Ball

Oct 19, 2022

On October 8, 2022, Tiny Lives held their annual charity ball at Hilton Newcastle, Gateshead, hosted by Charlie Richmond. This event is one of the biggest fundraising events of the year for the charity and this year, the total raised reached a record-breaking £76,104.

Tiny Lives were supported on the evening by one of their biggest supporters, Rob Armstrong of Dean Taxis, along with their Headline Sponsor New Key Support Ltd and Associate Sponsor Pin Point Recruitment.

Rob has supported Tiny Lives for over 20 years and the success of the 2022 charity ball is in part to Rob’s incredible support and generosity, along with his business contacts who kindly donated auction lots and sponsored tables on the evening.

Louise Carroll, Community and Events Fundraiser for Tiny Lives said ‘The amount raised from our charity ball is truly overwhelming. We can’t thank everyone enough who made the night possible.’

Louise continued ‘There is a lot of teamwork that goes into the evening, from our sponsors on the evening to everything Rob puts into helping make sure the night is a success. We couldn’t do it without them, the money raised will go a long way in supporting local families at the RVI unit, especially during these difficult times.’

In the last 6 months, Tiny Lives have seen an increase in the amount of extra support needed from neonatal parents. This includes expenses and mental health support. In the last year, the average amount of extra expenses to neonatal parents has risen to £405* per week. Tiny Lives is able to assist parents with some of these costs, including accommodation, transport, and parking costs.

Tiny Lives would like to thank all sponsors, Rob Armstrong and friends and all other supporters present on the evening for helping to raise this wonderful amount for premature and sick newborns.
