Spectacular 1990’s Dance Music Festival Set to Shake Northumberland

The owner of a public house in Cramlington, who has a passion for music and her home town has announced her latest project that takes her back to the music of her teenage years. The Shoe Shaker Fest, a nostalgic celebration of 1990s dance music, will take place on August 5th in an isolated field near Northumberlandia on the outskirts of the town.

With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and a successful track record in the wedding and events sector. 

The Shoe Shaker Fest promises to transport attendees back to the era of 1990’s stars who captivated audiences worldwide with their DJ skills and special club mixes. Star DJs from around the globe have been confirmed to play their tracks, offering an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts. The event has already attracted ticket bookings from far and wide, and it is expected to draw thousands of attendees from all over the country. This presents a significant opportunity for the town of Cramlington and surrounding areas to boost its local economy.

“I grew up with this music, and it holds a special place in my heart. While I understand that it may not be to everyone’s taste, it’s my passion. If this event is successful, we plan to diversify our future festivals, incorporating music from different decades and genres to cater to a wider audience, including families,” said Kathie.

The Shoe Shaker Fest boasts an impressive line-up of renowned world class 90’s DJs, both local and international. Confirmed acts include Andy Whitby, Sash, QFX, Dream Frequency, Ultrasonic, Kelly Lorena, and many more. With more than 10 original 90’s DJ’s scheduled to perform; this festival promises to be a massive celebration of the genre.

Kathie Turnbull’s journey into event management began many years ago with weddings and smaller-scale events. As her passion for organising events grew, she expanded her business and found success at the Three Horse Shoes pub. 

The Shoe Shaker Fest will take place on a greenfield site with ample capacity for the festival goers, although this initial event will have a smaller attendance to ensure everything goes according to plan. Kathie envisions the festival evolving and expanding in the future, welcoming more participants as it gains momentum.

To ensure the festival’s success, Kathie has assembled a team of seasoned professionals in the events industry. This includes an Mel Jackson of Jigsaw Event Management, an experienced event manager, a competent health and safety team with over 40 years of combined experience, medical and security teams and Frisk Radio have been chosen as the event’s media partners.
