Unique event helped businesses get their brands back into the market place after pandemic
Inspiring business stories from key speakers from within the region have helped other local businesses bounce back from the pressures of the pandemic.
The North Tyneside Business Forum’s Show Biz 22 – “Spring Back to Business” event saw more than 50 businesseses hear keynote speaker Jason Knights, Managing Director of Blue Kangaroo Design telling the story of his career from a life in the Army to his Gateshead based design agency that works specifically with entertainment character licensing and toy industry clients all over the world.
Chair of the North Tyneside Business Forum, Karen Goldfinch who is the owner of two businesses, Your Business Pilot and Made to Treasure shared some of her “navigating your way to success tips,” and gave guidance on how to manage some of the hurdles life throws at people in business and the best way to survive and prosper.
The importance of standing out in an online competitive marketplace through the use of effective photography was also delivered by Lauren McWilliams from For You Photography, while Mandy Barker from Sail Creative discussed the core pillars of branding and how businesses can elevate their brand online and offline. The art of harnessing storytelling through what you do was also highlighted to reinforce the key messages of a business.
Karen Goldfinch, Chair of the Forum said:
“The Forum wanted to provide locally based speakers that would inspire and motivate the businesses attending the event. From the very good feedback we received it seems that we have met that objective and given people food for thought. We’ve provided practical examples of ways to make businesses stand out and bounceback from what has been a challenging few years.”
That feeling was echoed by many of the delegates including Fiona Surrey who runs her own Wallsend based marketing company. “They were all inspirational and incredible sessions and it was useful to see how others are creating social value and impact. I left feeling inspired to achieve even more in my own business,” she said.
