Enjoying the turkey, opening presents, spending time with loved ones? All reasonable things to do on Christmas Day but for some, Christmas is a lonely time and brings many social problems with it. To help the disadvantaged people of Newcastle, a band of volunteers will give up their Christmas Day to provide friendship and food to those less fortunate than ourselves.
My latest press release is about these volunteers. Spare a minute to read about them and when you are enjoying Christmas Day do me a favour and just consider how lucky you are and how glad we shoudl all be for the work of Newcastle’s People’s Kitchen.
