From the Little Ole Opry to the little Old Low Lights

An international touring Americana Folk artist, who has established herself as one of the genre’s most respected singer/songwriters is heading to Tyneside to perform in a unique venue that will allow the singer to get up close and personal with the audience.

Canadian Tia McGraff has been likened to “Canada’s female Gordon Lightfoot,” and has been described as having “a voice stolen from angels”,

Tia will play the Old Low Light Heritage Centre on North Shields’ bustling fish quay on Thursday 12th May at 7pm.

Sharing the stage with husband and musical partner, Tommy Parham, the two are engaging and electric. Their songs and stories hold the audience from the first note, and keep them on an emotional journey of the soul.

Centre Manager, Pearl Saddingham is looking forward to opening up the Old Low Light as a venue for her Canadian guest.

“ This venue is very intimate and will be the ideal place for her acoustic music. The audience will really be able to engage with her and it’s great to have such a prestigious artist perform at the Old Low Lights.

“Tia has released seven CDs, five music videos on CMT has had top 30 chart singles and received a number of awards. She’s really carved a permanent place in today’s Americana music scene and we are delighted to bring her here to the North East.”

A limited amount of tickets at £10 are available from the Old Low Light 0191 257 4506 or email admin@oldlowlight.co.uk
