Emma Mansell, a dedicated estate agent and owner at Living Local in Winlaton, has recently been honoured with a prestigious award from the Best Estate Agent Guide. This accolade distinguishes Living Local as one of the top 500 estate agents nationwide, a remarkable achievement considering the rigorous evaluation process that involves mystery shopping and assessment of performance criteria. Over 13,000 agents are included in the judging process!
Unlike many awards in the estate agency industry that can be self-nominated or involve fees, the Best Estate Agent Guide relies on an impartial judging process. The evaluation encompasses various criteria, including property marketing, customer service and results. Living Local’s commitment to excellence has positioned them among the elite in the North East, showcasing their dedication to providing a top-notch service.
When asked about the recognition, Emma attributed their success to the meticulous care they take in all aspects of the service they offer. “We understand that showcasing a property is like arranging a shop; if things are in disarray, no one would want to make a purchase. Our approach involves high-quality photographs, essential floor plans, and engaging video tours to ensure potential buyers are captivated by the listings.”
Living Local’s commitment to exceptional service extends beyond selling houses, particularly during the holiday season. For the second consecutive year, the agency is partnering with local charity, Feeding Families, based in Blaydon. The charity focuses on supporting families in need by providing food parcels and facilitating the packing of Christmas parcels. Additionally, they are spearheading a “Matched Christmas Dinners” initiative, where people who are struggling can apply for donated Christmas dinner ingredients, demonstrating Living Local’s dedication to making a positive impact in the community. Emma and her team have provided Christmas dinners to feed two families of five this festive season.
Emma expressed her passion for helping people, emphasising that being part of significant life events, such as buying or selling a home, is the most rewarding aspect of her role. “We become an integral part of people’s journeys, whether they are starting a family, downsizing, or navigating the loss of a loved one. It’s a privilege to make a positive difference in their lives and I feel truly blessed to be able to do this every day.
“This also extends to people who aren’t buying houses as currently, there are some families really struggling to keep a roof over their heads. That is why we asked the local community to donate food for Feeding Families and we then collected it and took it for distribution to those that need it most. We’re all about doing the best we can for the people who live in our area, especially at Christmas.”
