We all have the option of better customer service 24/7

Jan 22, 2010

I really do value my customers and enjoy meeting with them not only on a business footing but as friends and colleagues. My PR rules are simple – when you  get me to do the work , that’s who you get – I never delegate – and I’ll always do exactly as I say I will and a bit more.
Not all businesses are like that though, we have all had bad experiences of shocking customer service. We all strive to do our best – but is it really enough and do we get the recognition we deserve for being customer friendly?eunice cust tiny

Now, one of the North East’s most successful training and development organisations has pledged to help the region’s service sector businesses to excel with the launch of a new national standard in customer service.

Eunice Craig, owner of Whitley Bay based training company Options 24/7 is one of only four north east based Approved Consultants qualified to support companies towards achieving the new national Customer First Standard. The standard looks at various aspects of customer service including developing staff, maximising market awareness and building customer relationships.

Eunice firmly believes that the North East has a wealth of talented businesses who take customer service very seriously and yet very few companies capitalise on that expertise by gaining appropriate recognition for their achievements. “It’s amazing how many businesses I see who are clearly committed to customer service but don’t have a dedicated route to achieving their goal,” said Eunice. “The Customer First standard clearly sets out the way to excellence and gives participating businesses a distinct competitive advantage.”

To help local businesses learn more about the standard, Eunice is hosting a free event where the new standard will be explained in detail. Guest speakers include Contact Centre recruitment and retention expert Emma Cordiner from Denalli, customer service expert Kath Lambton and Eunice herself.

Eunice is so confident that everyone attending will go away with an idea to make their customer service better that she has guaranteed to refund anyone’s transport costs if they feel that they haven’t benefited from the event.

The free customer service event takes place at the Gateshead Marriott Hotel on Thursday 11th February from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Businesses wishing to attend can contact Eunice on 0191 209 1102 or email info@options24-7.co.uk.
